sickies

we've had the "sickies" this whole week. first it was the baby who started on sunday with a super high fever. clingy. crabby. all-around miserable. by monday he was pretty much back to his normal self. then on wednesday the little dude kept complaining about how tired he was all day. of course, he refused to take a nap. by dinnertime he was complaining about being "so cold". so we got him a sweatshirt and told him to finish his dinner. even though it was one of his favorite meals he hardly touched a thing. he just said "i'm sooooo tired". i said "ok, do you want to go to bed?" thinking he would say no. much to my surprise, he said yes!! so he went to be at 5:30 and the hubby had to wake him up at 6:30 the next morning! he suffered the entire night with a horrible fever and all of thursday as well. the photo above was taken on thursday morning after his 13 hrs of sleep. poor thing was still worn out. by thursday night he seemed to be turning the corner and by this morning he was back to his normal self. it's been a rough week around here, even without the sick kids, so i'm very ready for the weekend to start! bring it on!
