scoutie girl feature :: blown away

i was so blown away by this discovery last night that i just had to share. tara from scoutie girl wrote a post yesterday about what inspires her. being a super-amazing blogger, tara sees a million beautiful things every day. she's surrounded by inspiration in everything she does. you can only imagine my surprise when i discovered little old me in her list of people that inspire her! i nearly fell off the couch. (see, that's me there in the lower left! ....and that's my good friend mari right above me!) it ALWAYS amazes me when someone says that i inspire them, but this....this is beyond amazing to me. this is a woman who runs a super-successful blog and has a baby at home. being someone in the same situation, i know how much work that takes. the fact that she's inspired by me or anything i do is just about the biggest form of flattery you could possibly give me. thank you tara. the feeling is mutual!

photo feature

i was so stoked to find another one of my photos featured on the pioneer woman's photo blog the other day! she has such an amazing following and has so many photos to choose from for her photo assignments that i'm amazed she even stops to take a second look at one of mine. this is my third time being featured in one of her assignment....although i've yet to win. maybe i should add that to my list of goals for this year! win a photo assignment.....very lofty, but hey, why not?

MORE big news!

i can't even believe i'm writing this, but i woke up to another amazing surprise today!

turns out ree of the pioneer woman photography blog, took some more time to go through some of the photos that were uploaded for the bokeh assignment and picked another one of mine to feature on her blog today! i nearly had a heart attack when i saw another of my photos come up! again, what a tremendous boost for my photography self-esteem! thank you ree!

a BIG deal!

i woke up to an amazing surprise today.

about a week ago i read about an assignment on the pioneer woman photography blog. i had never participated in one before. however, this assignment was right up my alley and one that i actually already had photos for! i uploaded 2 photos to the assignment flickr group and went on with my day.

fast forward to this morning. turns out ree, the blog owner, took some time to go through some of the photos that were uploaded and picked one of mine as one to feature on her blog today! i nearly had a heart attack when i saw my photo come up among the other amazing photos. with a readership following comparable to design*sponge or dooce, what a tremendous boost for my photography self-esteem!

first international feature for fin+roe

after checking my stats for the day i discovered some referrals from a site i hadn't heard of before: hip en hot. from attempting to translate online, it seems the language is dutch or something very similar. i know it's silly, but it's the first international feature (that i know of) for fin+roe and it's fun little discovery!

a great day for a great feature!

i've been working with one of the editors over at cool mom picks for awhile now; sending her samples, running her though the process of placing an order over at fin+roe, all in hopes of a great feature for my holiday line. i've been anxiously checking their site multiple times every day to see if my feature was live yet. well, this morning i awoke to my feature! it was so well written and exactly what i would have wanted her to focus on, had i a choice. and of all days, what great timing! everyone is done with thanksgiving and hopefully moving onto holiday cards now that they have the obligatory family photos taken. i've already gotten a huge amount of traffic from it and hoping that all that traffic turns into huge amounts of orders! you can see what she had to say here. oh, and if you miss out on the black friday (weekend) sale, i'm offering a discount over on cool mom picks until the end of december.
