thrifted :: glass pitcher
i came across this mid-century glass pitcher with wheat pattern on it a few weeks back. it instantly called my name from the shelves of the thrift store. it's clean lines and sleek wheat pattern were right up my alley. it's now my little reminder in the fridge to drink more water every day. if i remember right, i paid $2.50 for her.

You have got the thrifter's eye Lori. Great choice. That would make me drink more water too!
Oooh that's lovely! I think I would fill it with a nice Jamaican cocktail and lots of ice for a lovely summer evening.
I believe what you have there is a vintage glass coffee/tea pot...essentially, really, a water boiler. See a similar one on ebay

I've used these for tea, but if you have an electric stovetop, you can get a metal wire trivet that goes between the coil and the glass. Do not put it directly on the coil.
I like the idea of using it as a water pitcher (or lemonade, etc., I do like the idea of the Jamaican Cocktail!) LOL
