ok, ok. here you go....
i cannot tell you how many people have written me asking for the pattern to my painted floor project! at first i wasn't sure if i wanted to put it out there for everyone, but i'm hoping that the karma gods will remember this! ;) plus, it wasn't necessarily an original design. i found one online that i liked and altered it to fit my needs.
so here you go! here's the pattern for the floor! you can print it out and take it to the copier and either reduce or enlarge the size to come up with the right size pattern for your project. if you're not convinced you can do it yourself, i'm for hire! no, seriously, i'd love to do this on the side. so if you're willing to fly me out, i'll paint your floor....for a price, of course!

Oh thank you!!! This is wonderful! Remember that wall I've been wanting to paint?
I'm so glad you decided to post this! I'm thinking about painting our porch floor and I love how your floor came out!
Thank you for sharing. Yes, I do believe the Karma Gods will look favorably on you generousity:-)
Awww yay! Thank you so much, my sewing room is going to get this within the next week. I am on the search for a big foam pad. Can't wait to see the transformation!
You are so very kind to share this! Thank you so much! I'm hoping to give this a try on my deck in the Spring!!
I've been coveting your floor for over a year now...I just go to my Pinterest board and drool. Thank you so much for sharing. I don't plan to do an all over, just here and there to cover old water stains on my mid century floor. Thank you!
I was just going to print out your stencil - THANKS SO MUCH!!! My question is what size is it? My printer makes it square but also rectangle. Not sure which is correct for lining it up on floor. Thank you!
Laurie, I would think you just print it to whatever size you want. I would measure the width of my room and divide that by a few different numbers (e.g., 24", 18", 16", 14") to see which one divides with a remainder closest to zero. Example: if your room is 12' wide (144"), then make these calculations (note - the ones with a remainder will not work, as they will leave excess space at one side of the room):
144/24=6
144/20=7.2
144/18=8
144/16=9
144/15=9.6
144/14=10
144/13=11.07
144/12=12
Anything that divides evenly, not leaving a remainder, will work (24, 18, 16, 14, 12)
Thank you so much for showing us the pattern in a straight-on view!! I've saved your June 30, 2009 posting for 6-1/2 years! Finally may be getting a house I can use it in. Thank you SO much!!
Thanks also for still having it accessible online!! Appreciate it very much!
Thank you for sharing! I'm so excited to use this pattern as the flooring in my kids' treehouse. :)
