sorry for the grainy photo today, i was too lazy to retake it since i'm busy getting ready for our garage sale this weekend! (starting tomorrow!) anyway, these are some spools i picked up recently at different places. i've been collecting spools of all shapes and sizes for quite awhile now. i had them displayed in large containers, but they're quickly outgrowing their space. i've been thinking about what to do with them lately and i think i finally came up with a brilliant idea on how to display them which will allow for growth over time. i can't wait to work on it and show you all! it's going to take a little bit, but stay tuned. i promise to show the final product as soon as it's complete!

I just love vintage spools! I inherited my grandmother's sewing chest filled with old wooden spools and other great vintage sewing tools and every time I see lovely wooden spools I think of her. Can't wait to see how you're going to display them.
